Search for and Select a Patient

The Dashboard contains two sections:

  • Patient Search where you can search for a patient by name or IHI in order to view their SafeScript profile and medication history.
  • Recently Viewed where you can see up to the last five patients whose records you have viewed. Select a patient in the list to view their profile and medication history.

If the search fields contain criteria from a previous search, select Clear Search.

  1. With the Name dropdown selected, enter the patient's First Name, Surname, and Date of Birth.

  2. Select Search.

    Matching patients are shown in the Patient Search Results.

    Patient Seach Results display the IHI number (if it exists for each patient).

  1. Select the IHI drop-down.

    If the search field contains an IHI from a previous search, select Clear Search.

  2. Enter the patient's IHI.
  3. Select Search.
